Alternately titled a short, but to the point "tl;dr"
I recently started replaying Ocarina of Time again(God knows why, it's not like I was overdue for my 11th play-through or anything). When I beat the first dungeon, something occurred to me that I never picked up on before; that 10 minute cutscene about the formation of Hyrule, the great war and Ganondorf spreading his evil-ness all up in that mess was supposed to be said as the dying words of the Deku Tree. That is a LONG last breath...too long, if you ask me. I don't have time to sit through the Tree telling me that I have to save Hyrule every single time I feel like going through the Fire and Spirit Temples again... |
